Choose the right showhalter

Choosing the showhalter which fit you and your calf is not that easy as it looks.

First of all the animal needs to fit the halter properly so you have full control. The nose strap should be fit in between the eyes and the nose. Be sure the noseband is not too big. You cannot fit an L (cow) halter on a calf (S), the nose strap will be way too big. There are different colors for different breeds. Brown colored animals fits nicer the brown halters, black and white go with black.

As you can see on our website we have several types of halters. They are all manufactured with good quality leather and hardware. It depends your preference which type you prefer. Sleek and slimline halters will give a smoother and feminin appearance. For the calves up to 12 weeks we have special calf bucket halters (XS)

Normal halters will give you more control because of the chain which is a bit thicker then the slimline or sleek version.

Hello! One of my neighbors is going to visit his aunt’s farm in the countryside next weekend where he’ll take a look at some of the proposals she’s made for its future expansion. I really like the idea of separating our livestock using nose straps with diferent color code to ease our management. To help her run the place more efficiently moving forward, I’ll surely forward this article to her. https://www.diamondwcorrals.com/products/sorting-system/

I loved it when you said that first of all, the animal needs to fit the halter properly, so you have complete control. The nose strap should be fit in between the eyes and the nose. Be sure the noseband is not too big. My brother is planning to open a cattle farming business. I will share this post to know all about the agricultural cattle equipment, which is essential in the cattle farming business. https://ackermansonline.com/dist/livestockscalestrutestgallagherwwpaulasiscales.htm
